Afghan Refugees Receive Electronic ID Cards

KABUL (MEP) – Under the decision of the National Security Council, the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) was set to provide ground for the registration and distribution of electronic ID cards for immigrants abroad.

The decision was made at Saturday’s meeting of the National Security Council (NSC), MEP reports.

The NSC office said in a statement that the NSIA, along with other relevant agencies, is obliged to register and distribute the e-ID cards to Afghan citizens living abroad as soon as possible.

According to the newsletter, any Afghan citizen residing abroad can complete a four-step online form and go to the relevant offices in their residing countries for two steps of biometrics process and obtaining their ID cards.

Many Afghan refugees, especially in registration of their babies, have always faced many problems, and after the provision of these conditions, some of their challenges will be solved.
