Afghan Refugees Evacuate From Paris Camps Due To Tuberculosis Cases

Paris border policeMEP: Evacuation operations in (Éole) camps of the northern Paris began on Monday evening due to the prevalence of tuberculosis.

According to French news agency, about two thousand refugees and migrants from Afghanistan, Sudan, Somalia and Eritrea of weeks ago, whom living and health conditions in the camps were considered “inappropriate” have lived.

Paris mayor said that cases of tuberculosis, will speed up the program of evacuation of the camps.

The deterioration of living conditions and health of the residents of the camp, in addition to the report of three cases of tuberculosis infection have been announced as the main reasons for the evacuation of the camps.

Prior to this refugee camp in different parts of Paris with thousands of refugees and immigrants from Afghanistan, Sudan, Iraq and Somalia had been evacuated.

However, the country has said that in the past year, following the temporary evacuation of camps, eight thousand and 500 migrants and refugees have been resettled.
