Afghan Military Operation Kills 21 Insurgents

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Security Forces have launched a coordinated operations across the country over the past 24 hours, leaving at least 21 Taliban insurgents dead and eight others wounded.

The Ministry of Interior has confirmed the report by issuing a statement in this regard.

According to the statement, the operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Baghlan, Takhar, Kunduz, Faryab, Sar-e-Pul, Jowzjan, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Herat, Farah, Helmand and Nimroz provinces.

The Afghan National Police have also discovered and seized 18 different types of IEDs placed in Khost and Helmand provinces during the operations, the statement added.

The Taliban members have not yet commented regarding the report.
