KABUL: (Middle East Press) The cabinet of Afghanistan held an extraordinary meeting to sympathize with the victims of natural disasters in several provinces, especially in Panjshir province, three days of national mourning announced.
This announcement was made yesterday.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani also made a visit to Panjsher Province, one of the heavy hit areas by snow and he ordered immediate assistance to the effected people.
President Ghani also said government has made arrangement to respond to possible floods in Panjshir Province.
Badakhshan, Baghlan, Takhar and Bamyan are among the other provinces heavy snow where dozens of people have lost their lives.
A number of houses have also been destroyed due to heavy avalanches.
