Villages Cleared, 49 Taliban Killed In Khost Operation
MEP: As a result of a joint military operation conducted by Afghan security forces in Musa Khel district of Khost province, a number of villages in the district were cleared of the armed Taliban.
Interior Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday saying the army, police and national security have been involved in the operation.
The Afghan forces managed to kill 49 Taliban and injure 14 others during the operation, the statement added.
According to the Ministry, the villages of Arghamoli, Shah Khal and Zorkot of Musa Khel district have been cleared of Taliban.
A number of weapons and ammunition were also obtained in the operation.
