Afghan FM Stresses Bilateral Cooperation With Iran

Rabbani met BahramiKABUL: (MEP) Foreign Minister met with Iranian ambassador in Kabul, emphasized on expansion of bilateral relations.

Salahuddin Rabbani, Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed the two countries’ key issues with Mohammad Reza Bahrami, Iranian ambassador Saturday night in Kabul.

During the meeting, Rabbani emphasized on expansion of ties between the two nations and added that efforts should be made to complete the last year’s undone works soon.

“A strong intention to the leadership of the two nations exists on expansion of bilateral cooperation and new joint projects should also be consulted this year” Rabbani noted.

Foreign Minister also urged to extend Afghan consulate and Embassy of Afghanistan in one of the other cities of Iran in order to further meet the Afghan refugees’ problems in the country.

Mohammad Reza Bahrami, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the atmosphere of friendly cooperation between the two countries last year and stressed to strengthen their space this year.

He also discussed issues on behalf of Iranian cultural attaché in the city of Herat.
