Afghan Army Takes Full Control of Dande Ghori from Taliban

12782527_1038231199571333_616953088_nKABUL: (MEP) Finally, security forces have managed to take full control of Dande Ghori district of Baghlan province from Taliban insurgents.

Clearing and retake operation in Pul-e-Khumri city of Dande Ghori district had been started a month ago on the orders of President Ashraf Ghani.

Local officials in Baghlan say that security forces captured the district yesterday evening and the Taliban insurgents fled into the mountains of district.

According to authorities, house to house checking has already began by the security forces in order to find and arrest suspects.

The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the report so far.

During the operations within past one month, dozens of security forces and Taliban militants had been killed or injured. However, security forces thus managed to retake the district and bring peace and stability in the area.

The district has also witnessed several shock of rockets, according to the latest reports.
