Afghan Army Releases 14 Children From Taliban’s Custody

38KABUL: (MEP) The Afghan intelligence officers following a military operation in the Gereshk district of Helmand province, released at least 14 children from Taliban’s prison.

In addition, four Taliban insurgents arrested during the operation.

A statement by National Directorate of Security said Monday the Taliban insurgents were operating under the supervision of the Taliban group leader Mullah Mazlumyar.

According to the statement, the suspects were identified as

1. Nazar son of Janan

2. Abdul Rahman son of Abdul Khaliq

3. Bacha Khan son of Mir Hamza

4. Naqibullah son of Abdul Rahman

The statement noted that the teenagers released from prison, claimed that Mullah Mazlumyar asked them to have sex.
