Afghan Army Kills Eight Terrorists in Laghman

Enduring FreedomKABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan army have launched a special military operation in eastern Laghman province in which at least eight anti-government insurgents were killed on Monday night.

Provincial police said following a statement that the operation was launched in Alingar district after insurgents started clashes with security forces.

The statement adds, “Qari Zahid”, one of the Taliban commanders in Laghman is also among the dead.

However, the statement did not release details regarding the casualties among the security forces during the operation.

The Taliban militants are yet to comment in this regard.

Laghman is one of the instable provinces in the east of the country where anti-government militants are operating in parts of it and they frequently target security forces and other government officials.
