Afghan Army Kills 26 Taliban Members Across the Country

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Army has launched two military operations across the county which in result 26 insurgents have been killed in past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior released a statements on Tuesday saying that 19 insurgents were killed in the operations conducted by Afghan National Police with the assistance from the Afghan National Army and personnel from the National Directorate of Security (NDS).

The statement issued by the Ministry of Defense states that seven insurgents were killed in Operation Zulfiqar in southern Helmand province.

Around 62 different types of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were also discovered and confiscated during the operations

Officials of the Ministry of Defense say that Afghan National Security Forces are successfully running these operations and that no government officials or security forces hurt in the operations.
