Afghan Army Kill 19 Militants in Kunduz Airstrike

Afghan-Air-Force2-300x179KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 19 Taliban fighters have been killed following an Afghan air forces strike in northern Kunduz province on Friday night, officials said.

The attack took place in Chahar Dara district amid heavy clashes between security forces and Taliban in different parts of the province, said the provincial police chief Abdul Saboor Nasrati adding that eight other insurgents were also injured.

The victims included five foreigners and a woman, According to Nasrati.

The operation comes after the anti-government insurgents clashed with security forces in Char Dara District of Kunduz province and had taken control of the District, later on Afghan forces launched military operations and retake the District.

After Char Dara District Taliban attacked Dasht-i-Arche District of Kundoz province and occupied it but security forces have been hassling to push back Taliban from this district too.
