Afghan And Iranian Officials Boost Security Cooperation On Fight Against Terrorism  

Afghan-Iran-flagMEP: Afghanistan and Iran’s Supreme National Security Council officials, have discussed the current situation of security cooperation between the two countries and development strategies in the fight against terrorism.

Hanif Atmar, the Afghan National Security Adviser and Reza Saifullah, Secretary of Security Council of Iran Wednesday morning on the sidelines of the eighth international summit of senior security officials of regions met in the Russia’s capital of Chechnya.

Strengthen of Afghan security relations and Iran has been the main focus of the talks, a statement by the National Security Council said.

During the meeting both sides also highlighted the growing trend of bilateral relations, the need to strengthen security cooperation to confront terrorist elements and destabilizing the region.
