Abdullah Due to Visit Pakistan

KABUL (MEP) – Pakistan’s FM has officially invited the head of Afghanistan’s High National Reconciliation Council to visit Islamabad.

Pakistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadeq has wrote in a post on Twitter that, “Foreign Minister S. M. Qureshi has invited the Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, to pay an official visit to Pakistan.”

“Pakistan-Afghanistan relations are moving forward,” said Pakistan’s envoy for Afghanistan.

Mr. Sadeq did not give an exact time for the trip, saying “Dr. Abdullah Abdullah will visit at mutually convenient dates.”

The Office of the High National Reconciliation Council has not commented so far.
