US Troops Arrive In Yemen’s Aden: Reports

MEP: According to Al-Alam television network, security and military sources reported that US military forces have arrived in Aden, southern Yemen.

Local sources also confirmed the news but they provided no information about the reason of their arrival in Aden.

Military sources reported that concurrent with the arrival of Yemen’s resigned president, Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi in Khormaksar (a city district in Aden Governorate), the forces entered a hotel in this city under tight security.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni Houthi Ansarullah movement and its allies have announced Monday to form a new “national salvation” government.

The new government will be led by the former governor of Aden, Abdul Aziz Bin Habtoor, and is tasked with the administration of country’s internal affairs and dealing with Saudi Arabia’s relentless aggression against the impoverished nation.

It will be comprised of 35 ministers, including seven state ministers and three deputy prime ministers.

The new government is set to replace the Supreme Political Council, which was established by the Houthis and the party of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh earlier in the year.

More than 10,000 civilians have been killed so far since the beginning of Saudi campaign from March 2015 aimed at crushing the Houthi Ansarullah movement and reinstate the former Yemeni administration.
