KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 89 militants have been killed following afghan military operations in past 48 hours across the country, said the ministries of Defense and Interior Saturday.
The Ministry of Defense states that 89 militants were killed, several injured and six others arrested during the operations.
Afghan security forces have also confiscated different types of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) during the operations.
In the meantime, statement issued by the Interior Ministry states that 10 insurgents have been killed in past 24 hours in police operations.
The statement added that the operations were conducted in Farah, Helmand, Kunar, Logar and Ghazni provinces.
