KABUL: (Middle East Press) The Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) have launched a military operation which in result eight Taliban militants were killed in the past 24 hours.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Saturday states that the operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Laghman, Takhar, Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul, Jowzjan, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Herat, Farah and Helmand provinces.
The statement added eight militants were killed two were wounded and four others arrested.
Afghan National security officials have also confiscated and defused 12 rounds of IEDs placed by enemies of Afghanistan for destructive activities in Sangin District of southern Helmand province during the operations.
However, the casualties of Afghan National Security Forces were not revealed by the statement.
