8 Police Killed In Insider Attack In Zabul
MEP: Two policemen have reportedly opened fire on their colleagues killing at least eight other policemen in insider attacks in Qalat city of southern Zabul province.
A security official who did not want his name to be taken told the Middle East News Agency the incident took place Thursday morning in Zafarkhel police check post.
“Two policemen shot on eight of their colleagues and killed them and a few others injured” the source said.
The assailants managed to flee the area and an investigation is underway regarding the attack.
However, no group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the incident.
