8 Afghan civilians kills by Car bomb near Indian consulate in Jalalabad

Kabul: (MEP) – A suicide bomber Saturday detonated his explosives – filled car near Indian consulate in eastern Afghanistan, killing eight and injuring 22 civilians, police said, dpa reported.

“The bomber’s target was Indian consulate in Jalalabad city, but he was identified by the police some 100 meters to the consulate, so he blew his explosives up close to a mosque,” Sharifullah Amin, police chief for Nangarhar province said.

He said eight civilians were killed and 22 others injured, adding that most of the dead and wounded were children reading holy Koran in the mosque.
