7 dead and 181 wounded in Sudan demonstrations
Sudanese government sources have confirmed that seven people were killed and 181 others wounded in a popular demonstration.
According to the international news of Middle East Press, the Sudan Trade Union Association yesterday launched a popular demonstration in the wake of the establishment of a civilian government in the country.
After a massive crowd, the demonstration got tense and the security forces conflicted with the protesters.
Sudan State News Agency reported today (Monday, July 01) that the causalities in the demonstration conflicts reached 7 dead and 181 wounded.
The massive rally is held while Ethiopia and the African Union are looking forward mediating between Sudan demonstrators and military officials.
Sudanese people are calling for transfer of power from the military to a civilian state.
