6th Session of Afghanistan’s National Council Inaugurated

10559064_10208163695546122_1232432_nKABUL: (MEP) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has officially inaugurated the sixteenth round of 6th session of the National Council in a special ceremony on Sunday In the new hall of the National Assembly.

The ceremony was also attended by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah, a number of cabinet members, heads of various organizations, ambassadors from a number of countries, head of Supreme Court and Hamid Karzai former president.

President Ghani in addition to the problems and results of one year-old of National Unity Government (NUG) urged Taliban insurgents to participate in peace talks.

He said Taliban face a major test history and we ask them to take part in the negotiations to determine what is in the favor of Afghanistan.

Ghani pointed to the main three elements of terror groups fighting in Afghanistan such al-Qaeda, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan said “these groups imposed war on the people of Afghanistan.”

“The first element is al-Qaeda who wants to turn Afghanistan into a battle field but we will not allow them, the second element is ISIL that fights with an extreme opinion but on the run and the third element fighters are Uzbekistan, China, SsangYong and other extremist groups that our country has nothing to do with.” Ghani noted.

In another part of his talk, Mr. Ghani said a report of the functions of government in the fight against corruption and providing services, focusing on development projects for the exchange of freights and government measures to improve the economic situation that could passed the country from crisis and the preparations that have been provided for the work, are in details in the annual report of the National Assembly.
