63 Taliban Militants Killed 61 Wounded in Afghan Operations

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 63 Taliban militants have been killed in separate afghan military operations across the country.

The Ministry of Defense issued a statement on Wednesday saying at least five Afghan soldiers have also lost their lives during the operations.

In the meantime, a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior states that 63 militants were killed and 61 others wounded in separate military operations in eleven provinces in past 24 hours.

The operations were jointly conducted by Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army and personnel from NDS in Badakhshan, Sar-e-Pul, Kunduz, Baghlan, Herat, Kandahar, Zabul, Ghazni, Khost, Paktika and Paktiya provinces.

According to the statement a number of ammunition and weapons were also confiscated by the security forces during the operations.

Taliban militants are yet to comment regarding the reports.
