60 ISIL Terrorists Killed in Iraq’s Samarra

KABUL: (Middle East Press) The Iraqi army has launched a heavy military operation against the Takfiri ISIL militants in which at least 60 terrorists were killed in Southwest of the holy city of Samarra, according to media reports.

The Iraqi troops continued to press ahead with their military campaign against the ISIS in Samarra on Thursday, which lies 110 kilometers North of Baghdad, killing more than 60 militants, said a senior military commander requesting of anonymity.

Head of the Iraqi Parliament’s Security and Defense Committee, Hakem al-Zameli, also announced on Thursday that the army soldiers backed by popular forces managed to liberate the areas of al-Rumailat, Sayed Gharib, al-Laiyn and Samarra Island from the control of the terrorist group.

The ISIS Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.
