6 Dead, 19 Wounded In Lebanon’s Coordinated Suicide Bombing

Deadly blast in LebanonMEP: At least six people have been killed and 19 wounded after a group of suicide bombers detonated their explosives in a Lebanese village near the border with Syria on Monday, local media reports.

Four suicide bombers blew themselves up among a group of people on their way to work in the village of Qaa in Bekaa valley, security sources told Al Jazeera.

The villagers became suspicious of the men as they were passing through the village around 4 am local time, an eyewitness in Qaa said. When civilian security men who guard the village called out to them, they threw a hand grenade before successively blowing themselves up among civilians.

All those killed were civilians, the mayor of Qaa told the Voice of Lebanon.

Lebanon has often seen the infiltration of Takfiri elements from neighboring Syria into its territory, where they attack the civilian population or security forces with bombings.
