6 bombers killed, plans blocked in Kabul

KABUL: (MEP) – All suicide bombers were killed when the security forces were called for crackdown soon after they planned to attack a building in which Prof. Rabbani’s death anniversary was being marked, an official said Wednesday, Wakht reported.

Four NDS troops were also killed when one of the bombers detonated his explosives packed vest among the forces storming to control the incident, Kabul police chief told the media.

Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujaheed confirmed the incident as saying in a statement that their fighters during a tactical attack could impose heavy casualties and injuries on the security forces including the NDS in the capital Kabul.
