6 Afghan Soldiers Dead Following an Attack in Badghis

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least six Afghan National Army (ANA) forces were martyred following an attack by Taliban insurgents in western Badghis province.

Local security officials said the attack was carried on a military checkpoint in Bala Murghab district on Monday night.

An Afghan National Army official in Badghis province said the attack was probably carried out with the help of an Afghan national army soldier.

Leader of the 207 Zafar Military Corps, Gen. Dawood Shah said all soldiers in the checkpoint were killed except one soldier who is missing in the attack.

Gen. Dawood Shah further added that the Taliban insurgents have taken with them all the weapons and ammunition belonging to the Afghan forces.

The Taliban group has not commented about the report yet.
