KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan security forces have killed at least 57 militants and injured 35 others following fresh military operations across the country.

The ministry of interior has issued a statement Saturday saying the operations carried out in the provinces of Badakhshan, Baghlan, Faryab, Ghazni, Helmand, Herat, Khost, Kunduz, Logar, Paktia, Sar-e Pol, Uruzgan and Zabul.

The statement added that two militants were also arrested in the raids, without mentioning whether there were any casualties on the side of the Afghan forces.

At least 21 large-scale operations against militants in different parts of the country were also conducted by Afghan National Security.

The Taliban militants are yet to comment regarding the report.
