50 Civilians Wound as Clashes at Bagram Military Base Come to End

KABUL (MEP) – The attack on the Bagram military base in Parwan province is reported to be ended, but local officials say more than 50 civilians were injured in two car bombings.

A major explosion occurred around 6:00 today Wednesday, December 11 near the Bagram military base in Parwan province.

Bagram District Governor Abdul Shakour Qudsi told MEP that the incident came when a bomb car was exploded in the area.

Gunmen attacking the Bagram military base, first detonated two vehicles near the base wall and went inside, he said

Qudsi went to say that when the attackers entered the base, the clashes began, which ended after nearly four hours.

In two car bombings, nearly 50 civilians were injured and several were reported in critical condition, Bagram District Governor said.

According to the source, one attacker was also arrested by security forces.

He did not specify the exact number of attackers, but said he had no information about the casualties inside the base.

No one or group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
