5 Security Forces Killed in Kunduz

KABUL (MEP) – Five security forces were killed and eight others were captured by the Taliban after clashes broke out between security forces and the group.

Armed Taliban attacked a security outpost on Tuesday night in Khanabad district outskirts and clashed with security forces.

Kunduz security and local sources say that five security forces were killed and the Taliban attack was pushed back.

At the same time, the armed Taliban say it has captured eight soldiers.

Armed Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid posted a video on Twitter, saying the group has also seized some weapons and ammunition.

The northern province of Kunduz has witnessed insecurity and clashes in recent years, as well as, several times the center of the province has been seized by armed Taliban group.
