KABUL: (MEP) – The nominees for Cabinet and high seats at the Supreme Court each received votes of confidence from the House of Representatives.
Zerar Ahamd Osmani, Din Muhammad Mobariz Rashidi, Muhammad Akbar Barakzai, Shaker Kargar and Muhammad Arif Nowruzi were the nominees that received votes of confidence from the Senate House as ministers and Din Muhammad Geran and Abdul Qadeer Adalat received votes of confidence as members of the Supreme Court in the government.
At the beginning of the session, each parliamentary candidate described their ministerial work plans to the parliament. None of the candidates talked about the security agreement, Ariana news reported.
Ahamd Osmani was appointed as foreign minister by receiving 183 “for” votes; Din Muhammad Mobariz Rashidi received 166 “for” votes and was appointed as minister of counter narcotics; Shaker Kargar received 163 “for” votes and was appointed as minister of commerce; Mohammad Akbar Barakzai received 164 “for” votes and was appointed as minister of mines; and Muhammad Arif Nowruzi received 177 “for” votes and was appointed as minister of energy and water.
