5 Killed, 5 Injured in Laghman Road Accident

KABUL (MEP) – Five people were killed and five others were injured in a car crash on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway in Qarghaee district of Laghman province.

The spokesman for the governor of Laghman Assadullah Dawlatzai, told MEP that the incident took place yesterday evening in Qarghaee district.

“A Ranger vehicle collided with a Corolla, killing five and wounding another 5 people,” he added.

Mr. Dawlatzai did not mention the cause of the incident.

In many cases, high speed and lack of attention to traffic rules and signs are the main causes of road accidents.

People have repeatedly complained about the carelessness and speed of Ranger vehicles, which repeatedly happens in the city roads and on the highways.
