5.5 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Parts of Japan

JAPAN-quake-1028KABUL: (Middle East Press) A 5.5-magnitude earthquake shook Fukushima region in Japan, with residents of some 10 other prefectures feeling the tremor, The Japan Times tweeted on Twitter.

The quake occurred off the northeast coast of Japan, close to the Fukushima and Miyagi areas on Monday.

No tsunami warning has been issued.

The epicenter was near the Fukushima coastline, at a depth of 30 kilometers.
