48 Militants Killed in Tirah Air-Strike

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Pakistani military has conducted an air strike in the Tirah Valley of Khayber also border to the north lying in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, killing at least 48 militants. Says reports.

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Pakistani military has conducted an air strike in the Tirah Valley of Khayber also border to the north lying in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, killing at least 48 militants. Says reports. 

The air raids were launched early Friday morning in Tirah Valley, targeting militants’ hideouts.

The strikes come a day after Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif and Chief of Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, Air Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt jointly visited North Waziristan and reaffirmed their commitment to rid Pakistan of all types of terrorism.

The Pakistani soldiers have been involved in a full-scale offensive against Taliban and other militants in North Waziristan and Khyber tribal districts along the Afghan border since last year.
