32 killed and wounded in Helmand suicide attack

Taliban has taken responsibility behind the incident.

A car bomb in Nawa city in Helmand yesterday evening 13 including both Afghan army soldiers and civilians were killed and 19 wounded.
Omar Zawak, the spokesman of Helmand governor, told The Middle East Press the incident targeted Afghan military vehicle in the Nawa district, an area that has seen heavy fighting in recent week.

“When the Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers had gotten off their vehicles for shopping food staff, the suicide attacker blew his explosive-filled car.” said Zawak

He added 13 including both Afghan army soldiers and civilians were killed and 19 wounded.

The spokesman of Helmand governor said wounded have taken to the provincial central hospital.

Taliban has taken responsibility behind the incident.

This comes as earlier, Afghan National Army`s convoy had been attacked near headquarter of Helmand police in Lashkargah city where killed at least seven people were killed and 40 wounded.
