23 Daesh Dependents Killed In Foreign Airstrike In Nangarhar
MEP: As a result of air strikes by foreign forces in the districts of Kot and Naziyan of eastern Nangarhar province, 23 members of Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terrorist group were killed.
Nangarhar provincial police chief’s press office issued a statement saying the attacks were carried out on Saturday night.
The statement added that 15 members of Daesh were killed in Spin Zhy area of Naziyan district, including a prominent commander of the terror group.
In a similar attack in Laghar Joye area of Kot district, eight Daesh individuals were killed, Provincial police chief added.
A number of ammunition and equipment belonging to the terror group have also destroyed during the operations, the statement further added.
The attack comes as President Ashraf Ghani traveled to Nangarhar a week ago and warned the terror group to eliminate its root.
