20 Abductees Released in Oruzgan Province: Taliban

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Taliban militants have reportedly released 20 abductees Daikundi province who were abducted by the group in Oruzgan province last week.

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Taliban militants have reportedly released 20 abductees Daikundi province who were abducted by the group in Oruzgan province last week.

Police chief of Daikundi province, Juma Gul Burdi told reporters on Saturday that the captives were freed with their belongings yesterday but they arrived in Daikundi province this morning.

He said that all of the civilians are released unharmed and they are having good health condition.

He did not specify how the release was secured but a local (council) was refereeing the release.

The 20 civilians have been kidnapped due to clashes between security forces and the militants group in the region, said Habibullah, acting governor of Daikundi.
