2 Rebels Killed in Their Own Bomb Blast

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Two militants were killed following a bomb explosion in Salahuddin province of Iraq.

The incident took place on Tuesday when the militants were planting a bomb in an area in the eastern part of Tikrit said an Iraqi security source on condition of anonymity.

“The militants were planting the bomb on the main road at al-Askari neighborhood in central Tooz district, located 90 km eastern Tikrit,” the source said, adding, “The bomb went off resulting in their death instantly.”

Takfiri militants use different brutal attacks, including planting bombs, to target Iraqi forces and civilians.
