2 Dead, 10 Injured In Syria’s Qamishli Blast  

Explosion in Qamishli Syria.htmldKABUL: (MEP) At least two people were killed and 10 others sustained injuries after two explosions rocked an Assyrian neighborhood in Qamishli on Sunday, according to RT Arabic and local SANA correspondents.

The first blast targeted Joseph Bakery, where a bomb was placed on a bicycle that was left in front of the store killing 2 people and injured 10. However, there are no reports regarding the second blast so far.

Qamishli is a Kurdish city on the border with Turkey, where the anti-government insurgents are fully active in key parts of the city.

“We won’t allow ISIL terrorists to destabilize our city. We will do everything we can to maintain the civil peace and security in Qamishli and other areas in this region,” a member of the Kurdish security forces told ARA News.

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility behind the explosions.
