KABUL: (MEP) – Two civilians were killed and an Afghan police officer was injured following an explosion in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Sunday.
Provincial security chief, Fazal Ahmad Sher confirming the report said, the incident took place in the fourth district of Jalalabad city.
Mr. Sher further added that the explosives were planted inside a trash bin, which went off early Sunday, leaving two civilians dead and an Afghan police officer injured.
He said the main target of the explosion was the Afghan national army post in Jalalabad city; however, the Afghan army soldiers did not suffer any casualties, khaama reported.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
