191 dead and wounded in Ghazni suicide attack

Updated; Ministry of Public Health says 12 people were killed and 179 people were injured in a suicide attack in Ghazni city.

Nearly 8:30 am this morning (Sunday, July 07), a car bombing hit PD6 national directorate base in Shamir area of Ghazni city, Middle East Press reports.

Wahidullah Mayar, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health tweeted as, according to the latest details of the Ghazni bombing, 12 people were killed and 179 others wounded.

But the press office of Ghazni province said in a newsletter that “six people, including two security personnel and four civilians, were martyred, 177 people, including nine security personnel, were wounded.”

Rejecting injuries and losses in National Directorate staffs, newsletter adds that most of the wounded are the students of a private school and local residents.

According to the press office of Ghazni province, 60 residential houses and four commercial markets have also suffered financial losses.

Armed Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.

The blast is being conducted by armed Taliban while the group`s delegation is sitting in peace talks table with US and Afghan negotiators in Doha and while at the same time, Solute Support Forces also carry attacks over Taliban`s positions frequently.

Recent events that took place on a single day show that Peace has become a project for sides` concessions.
