18 Taliban Dead in Afghan Military Operations

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 17 anti-government insurgents have been killed following afghan military operations in the past 24 hours across the country.

The Ministry of Interior issued a statement Sunday states that at least five other insurgents were wounded.

The statement added that the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) have conducted the operations in Nangarhar, Paktiya, Paktika, Kandahar, Sar-e-Pul, Jowzjan, Kapisa, Uruzgan, Baghlan, Faryab, Badakhshan and Kunduz provinces.

“During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused three different types of IEDs placed by enemies of Afghanistan for destructive activities in Nangarhar, Parwan and Zabul provinces,” the statement further added.

The anti-government militants have not yet commented regarding the report.
