160 Afghan Students to Leave For Kazakhstan

KABUL: (MEP) – A ceremony was held at MoFA the other day on the occasion of appreciation of Kazakhstan for its cooperation in granting 1000 scholarships to Afghan students, BNA reported.

According to office of MoFA spokesman, 650 Afghan students are currently in Kazakhstan receiving higher education in various sections as medicine, political sciences, economy, teacher training and military training.

A new group of 160 students will soon leave for Kazakhstan and thus the fourth phase of transition of Afghan students to Kazakhstan will be completed.

The program has been implemented based on agreement signed between presidents of the two countries in 1388.

Republic of Kazakhstan has been committed to grant 1000 scholarships in BA and MBA level to Afghan students for five years up to 2015.
