Abdul Ghani Musamim, Governor of Kunar says these individuals under the leadership of one of the senior Taliban commanders “Khair Mohammad” were involved in insurgency activities against the government in Soki district of the province.
He add, the group have put an ‘end’ to their insurgency activities and surrendered themselves along with their weapons.
According to reports, from the beginning of the peace process in eastern Kunar so far, 441 militants have joined in this process.
