14 People Killed in Bomb Attacks in Iraq

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Powerful bomb attacks in and around Baghdad, Iraq’s capital have killed at least 14 people and injured dozens.

According to police, four people were killed and 11 others wounded when a bomb went off in the town of Madain, about 20 kilometers (14 miles) southeast of Baghdad, on Saturday.

Elsewhere in central Baghdad, an explosion struck near a string of car repair shops, killing three people and wounding ten others.

Two Iraqi soldiers also lost their lives and four others were injured in an explosion that hit an army patrol in the town of Taji, located approximately 30 kilometers (20 miles) north of Baghdad.

A bomb blast near a cafe in Baghdad’s district of Ameen killed two people and wounded nine others on Saturday night.

Moreover, in Baghdad’s southeastern district of Zafaraniya, police said a bomb attached to a minibus killed three passengers and injured six others.
