14 People Kidnapped by Armed Men in Northern Baghlan

BBaghlan-province1-300x180KABUL: (Middle East Press) A group of armed men have reportedly abducted 14 civilians in Pul-e-Kumri, the provincial capital of northern Baghlan province late yesterday, local officials said.

The officials added that the incident took place when unknown men stopped a civilian bus and took hostage 20 people, including six women.

According to reports, tribal elders mediated to secure the release of six women but the men were taken captives.

Motive behind the kidnapping is not clear.

However, investigations are underway to release the abducted civilians.
