13 killed or injured, in Suicide attack of Logar province

KABUL: (MEP) – According to local authorities in eastern Logar province of Afghanistan, at last five people including two Afghan Local Police (ALP) officers were killed following a suicide attack in this province, khaama reported.

The officials further added, eight others including a commander of the Afghan Local Police (ALP) were injured following the incident.

Provincial governor spokesman, Din Mohammad Darwesh confirming the report said the incident took place in Pul-e-Alam district on Tuesday evening.

Mr. Darwesh further added that the incident took place around 5pm local time, after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives near the Ranger vehicle of the Afghan Local Police (ALP) forces.

He said the ALP commander, Sabz Ali was injured along with two other ALP officers and five civilians.

However no group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
