A statement issued by MoD states that the operations were conducted in the past 48 hours in different parts of the country however, the statement did not provide details regarding the exact location of the incidents.
The statement adds that at least 12 Afghan soldiers were also embraced martyrdom during the operations and a number of armament seized.
This comes amid large scale military operations against insurgents across the country.
