11 Dead, 26 Injured in Baghdad’s Twin Car Bombings

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 11 dead and over 26 injured following two car bombings in a Baghdad suburb on Monday, AP reported.

The attacks came hours after the arrival of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for talks with the Iraqi officials.

The incidents took place as two explosive-laden cars went off instantaneously in a commercial area of Husseiniyah district in northeastern Baghdad shortly before noon.

The injured ones were shifted to the nearby hospitals.

No immediate responsibility claim has been made however such incidents are usually come from the ISIL militant groups.
