100 Young Couples Married Collectively

Nilly City, Daikondi Provincial Center, hosted the wedding of 100 young couples that was held collectively.

According to Middle East press; 100 young couples were selected from whole Daikondi districts and their wedding party was held together concurrent with Mid- Sha’ban, the birthday of Hazrat Mahdi (AS).

Officials say the total spending intended to hold the ceremony is AFN 6 million that AFN 60000 was allocated for dowries and spending of each couple.

“Economic problems hindered our marriage, but some elders made us into mass wedding.” Mohammad Ali, one of the grooms of the ceremony said.

He expressed his pleasure at the ceremony, calling for a boom for such a wedding ceremony to avoid huge and useless expenses.

This ceremony is held in Daikundi, while last Friday 120 couples held their weddings collectively in Kabul.

Useless and huge expense has prevented the wedding of some youths in the country and beside Ministry of Justice`s orders, so far, no action has been taken to prevent the huge expense of weddings.
