“clashes and gun battle were persistent since one week in the district where Taliban had surrounded five security posts” the governor of district said on Saturday.
He said Taliban seized two of the five posts last night and 10 policemen who were on duty there have been missing with their belongings.
The district governor warned Taliban would capture the three remaining checkposts and endanger the lives of about 40 policemnet if reinforcement does not reach in Pashtun Kot district.
Taliban militants have boosted to their anti-government activities in many provinces of the country including Farah which was comparatively a safe province in the north which witnessed severe insecurity this year.
Last month, Taliban attacked the province’s Ghormach district and controlled it for several days.
