When Hekmatyar supports System!

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar said on Thursday that he will not let anyone bring down the system nor would he agree to such a move.

That Hekmatyar in his latest remarks supports the System and  urges the Afghan nation do the same has raised some reactions among people: some social media`s users have expressed their surprise on when Hekmatyar talks about peace and system.  What may not be believable for public minds are Hekmatyars background and his unique behavior toward making a system for governing Afghanistan. As historical witnesses prove he used to fight for being
the number one in all systems regarding the country`s managing and to do so he has been blamed on doing lots of misbehavior.

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar said on Thursday that he will not let anyone bring down the system nor would he agree to such a move.

Addressing a press conference in Kabul, Hekmatyar said those who want to change the system must ask themselves what the alternative is and whether they are able to run the country.

He said a public demonstration was within every Afghan’s rights but that any move to close roads or to overrun the Presidential Palace, especially by armed protestors, was not acceptable.

This comes after hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets of downtown Kabul on Friday in a bid to march on the Presidential Palace. They had been protesting against Wednesday’s massive truck bomb in the city that killed over 150 people.

Hekmatyar said that “no one can take power by force. Every Afghan has the right to make demands but not to close roads.”

He stated that Hizb-e-Islami accepts the system as it is and encouraged the nation to do the same.

He said he hopes the parliamentary election is held transparently and within budget. He did say however that reforms should be brought.

He said Hizb-e-Islami would participate in the next parliamentary elections but in terms of taking part in the presidential elections no decision had yet been made.

About the ongoing war he said the reason is that people want to take power by force.
